During the development of the Whitechain network, a proprietary solution, WB Soul Ecosystem, was implemented, which is the basis for various Web3 products on the Whitechain network blockchain. Inspired by Vitalik Buterin's article "Decentralized Society: Finding Web3's Soul", a bridge between on-chain and off-chain worlds was created. This publication will explore what the WB Soul ecosystem is and how it functions.

What is WB Soul?

WB Soul is your digital representation on our Whitechain network blockchain. It is a unique identifier that is your bridge between the exchange and the Whitechain network. It can be created by any WhiteBIT Georgia user who has passed KYC verification.

Each WB Soul has its own unique features. All of them are divided into two types:

• Soul Attributes — the changing characteristics of a WB Soul (e.g. the amount of WBT on hold).
• Soulbound Tokens (SBT) — unchangeable WB Soul characteristics (tokens that cannot be transferred to other users; they can be achievements, rewards, event passes, and so on).

WB Soul is characterized by two attributes:

• IsVerified indicates whether the WhiteBIT Georgia user's verification is active.
• HoldAmount displays the amount of the WBT hold.

Users can view these attributes after creating a WB Soul.

How to register WB Soul?

It's very simple:

1. Connect Web3 Wallet to your account in the settings;
2. Make sure KYC verification is complete;
3. Go to the WB Soul page;
4. Accept the Terms and Conditions;
5. Confirm the action by clicking the button to create your WB Soul.

WB Soul information will be displayed in the network browser, instructions on how to connect it to your Web3 wallet can be found in our article "How to add Whitechain to MetaMask?".

Please note: Users' personal data is not transferred to the blockchain when creating or using a WB Soul.

All created WB Souls on the Whitechain network Testnet are automatically transferred to the Whitechain network Mainnet.

What is a Soulbound Token?

Soulbound Tokens are tokens associated with a specific WB Soul on the Whitechain network. They cannot be sold or transferred to other users. Tokens can be achievements, awards, event passes, etc. They are usually part of a collection. We have big plans for Soulbound Tokens, so stay tuned!

How can Soulbound tokens be used?

Here's an example: Soulbound Tokens can be used when we need to further reward users for participating in an activity. In this case, we create a collection of several Soulbound Tokens for activity leaders, and a smart contract links these tokens to the winners' WB Souls. These tokens will showcase your achievements and remain forever linked to your WB Soul.

Of course, there are more situations where Soulbound Tokens can be used.

EarlyBird Soulbound Tokens

Every user who participated in Whitechain network Testnet has already received their Soulbound Token from the EarlyBird collection.

EarlyBird SBT was the first collection presented in the Whitechain network; these tokens were given to all testnet participants and will not be released again.
